Mrs. Annie Reese Simmons, 80

ROSEBORO Mrs. Annie Reese Simmons, 80 of 3111 Huntley School Road, Roseboro, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 16 at Hollands Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2069 Huntley School Road, Roseboro, with Reverend Billy Hall officiating. Entombment will follow at the Honeycutt-Simmons Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons was born June 6, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Garley Braston and Annie Bell Hairr Tyndall. She was a lifetime member of Hollands Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked alongside her husband as co-owner of Simmons Auto Sales. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Simmons of the home; children, Jewel Simmons Mathias of Ocoee, FL, Wade Simmons and wife Teresa of Roseboro; grandchildren, Walt Mathias, Reann Mathias, Travis Mathias, Lisa Smith, Austin Simmons; 15 great grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Idell Holland of Salemburg, O.C. Tyndall of Dunn, Houston Tyndall, Carl Tyndall, and Janice Nettles all of Salemburg. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, October 15 at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
