SALEMBURG
Ms. Annie Lee Sessoms, 85 of 106 Salem Wood Circle, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, Roseboro, with Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Sessoms was born on February 7, 1930 in Cumberland County to the late Frank and Maggie Crabtree Draughan. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Becky Godbold; brothers, Billy, Tom and Elmer Franklin Draughan; and sisters, Estelle VanHorne and Annette Cottle. She was a wife, homemaker and retired from Hamilton Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Walton Sessoms of Roseboro; five children, Barbara Williams and husband Larry of Autryville, Betty Autry and husband Terry of Autryville, Ricky Sessoms of Roseboro, Vickie Hamm and husband Ronnie of Autryville and Fran Sandy and fiancé Ashley Matthis of Clinton; nine grandchildren, Robin Marley of Salemburg, Larry Williams, II of White Lake, Jeremy Autry, Timothy Autry and Eric Autry all of Autryville, Rickie Dalton Sessoms of Surf City, Spencer Hamm of Carolina Beach, Chris Edwards of Kernersville and Tyler Matthis of Clinton; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, Laura Hollingsworth, Connie Beal, Lucy Luchetti, Mabel Fann, Larry Draughan and Glenn Draughan.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 P.M. Saturday afternoon at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 2300 Pleasant Union Road, Roseboro, and other times at 1247 Leroy Autry Road, Autryville.
