Mrs. Annie Belle (Pope) Edwards, 88 went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Mintz Baptist Church with the Dr. Robert Hunter officiating. The burial will follow at Mintz Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:50 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Edwards was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Nedom and Ida Turner Pope. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Edwards; and her son, Allen Edwards.

Mrs. Edwards was a retired Cafeteria Worker with Sampson County Schools. She was a member of Mintz Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory  her three children, Carolyn Rowe and husband, Todd of Clinton; Jimmy Edwards and wife, Cindy of Clinton; and Patsy Shearer of Charlotte; six grandchildren, David Williams, Paige Choate, Sammy Edwards, Lana Stocks, Madison Melvin and Jessi Edwards Bird; and twelve great grandchildren.
