Mrs. Anne Marie (Murphy) Dockery, 74 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville, surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with the Reverend Louis Pender officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 11:50 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

Anne was born on May 24, 1950 in Bar Harbor, Maine to Winfield Perry and Ruth Elaine Abbott Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Phillip Dockery; three children, Joseph B. Dockery of Dublin, NC; Ruth E. (Dockery) Vermillion of Bladenboro, NC; and George P. Dockery of White Oak, NC; three grandchildren, Brittney D. Hester, Dylan C. Vermillion, and Henry Dockery; her great-grandson, Will Hester; two step brothers, James A. Sprague of Ft. Myers, FL; and Timothy C. Sprague of Bass Harbor, ME; and she will be greatly missed by her Jack Russel mix, Jesse Phillip.
