STEDMAN
Mrs. Ann Alexander McCall Bunce, a longtime resident of Stedman, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 13, 1935, to the late Alexander and Mallie McCall. Ann was preceded in death by her sister Peggy Mann and her brothers Vanburg, Reid, Duncan, Don, and Roger McCall.
Ann is survived by her husband of sixty years, Ted; her daughter Sheila Kimbel and husband Steve of St. Charles Missouri, her sons Maxton and wife Deborah, and Jeffrey and wife Lisa of Stedman; two sisters Christine Campbell of Goldsboro and Maude Thompson of Beaufort; nine grandchildren Laura, Matthew, Amanda, and Jonathan Kimbel, Carin and Rhett Bunce, and Lauren, Jessica, and Chase Bunce.
Ann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to the community. She was a co-founder of the Stedman Farmer's Day. She was successful at running several businesses from her home, most notably Ann's Curtains. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was an active member of the Stedman Baptist Church and enjoyed the activities of the Out and Abouts and hosting the annual Valentine's Banquet.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20 from 6 to 8 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21 at 11 am at Stedman Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fisher Cemetery in Stedman.
Memorials can be made to the Stedman Baptist Church Building Fund.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Stedman Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Spears officiating. Burial will follow at the Fisher Cemetery in Stedman.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and other times at the home.
