Mrs. Ammer Phillips Greenwood, 75 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her home.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 12, at Butler Funeral Home, Stedman, with Reverend Glenn Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Cross Creek Cemetery.

Born December 25, 1941 in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Essie Mae Herring Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Ervin Phillips; and her second husband, Billy Gene Greenwood. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Fayetteville, and worked as a Greeter with Wal-Mart.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Phillips Scott and husband Calvin of Stedman, Richard Ervin Phillips, Jr. of Stedman, James Eldon Phillips and wife Tammy of Autryville; sister, Catherine Andrews and husband Wayne of Stedman; brother, Elbert Morgan of Hope Mills; grandchildren, Brandon Scott, Brian Scott, Savanna Scott, Nicholas Scott, Richard Phillips, II, Christopher Phillips, Abby Phillips, Emma Phillips; and great grandchildren, Lillyanna Scott, Kari Phillips, Logan Phillips, Aurelia Phillips.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am Wednesday prior to the service, and other times at her home.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
