Mr. Ambrose Glaspie Edwards, Jr.

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Ambrose Glaspie Edwards, Jr., 64, of Fayetteville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2014. He had worked in underground construction for Fasco. He attended Massey Hill High School and Fayetteville Technical Institute. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Edwards was predeceased by; his parents, Ambrose Edwards, Sr. and Mable Worrell Edwards; a daughter, Angela Cox and great grandsons, Hayden & Chase Shambach. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 14 at Big Rock Fish Cemetery in Fayetteville with Rev. Terry Jones officiating. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Edwards, of the home; three daughters, Amanda Adams of Fayetteville, Shelby Hair of St. Pauls and Mary Jacobs Jordan of St. Pauls; one son, Paul Hair of St. Pauls; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 13 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, N.C.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 14 at Big Rock Fish Cemetery in Fayetteville with Rev. Terry Jones officiating.
