Mr. Alvin "Junior" Harris, 79

ROSEBORO Mr. Alvin "Junior" Harris, 79, of 10628 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mr. Harris was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late Isham Alvin and Gladys King Harris. He was a retired auto parts store manager and was a member of Roseboro First Baptist Church. Mr. Harris is survived by: wife, Mae Barefoot Harris, of the home; three daughters, Gladys Williams and husband Frank, of Elizabeth City, Barbara Harris Jackson and husband George, of Turkey and Linda Faircloth and husband Thomas, of Roseboro; son, James Alvin Harris and wife Debra, of Wilson; sister, Julia Raynor and husband Bob, of Raleigh; three brothers, James Melvin Harris, of Warsaw, Roy Harris and wife Gwen, of Garner and Dannie Harris and wife Patricia, of Clinton; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will recieve friends Sunday night from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
