Mr. Alton Franklin West, 61

Fayetteville Mr. Alton Franklin West, 61, of 4322 Half Acre Circle, Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with the Rev. Willie Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. West was born in Bladen County to the late Foster and Annie Mae Tyndall West. He was a painter before retiring. Mr. West is survived by: wife, Lucy Bell Tyndall West, of the home; two sons, Richard West of Grays Creek and Alton West of Hope Mills; three daughters, Cynthia West Anderson of Fayetteville, Melissa Ann West of Stedman and Carrie Jane West of Hope Mills; two brothers, Robert West of Fayetteville and Kenneth West of Bladenboro; sister, Virginia Hales of Bladenboro; 9 grandchildren.
