AUTRYVILLE

Mr. Alton Edward Altman, Jr., 70 of Autryville, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Butler Home Funeral in Stedman. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Altman was a native of Pittsburg, California and the son of the late Alton Edward Altman, Sr. and Hazel Smith Altman. He was a retired Captain with the Ft. Bragg Fire Department. After retirement he worked for A. K. McCallum of Fayetteville.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hall Altman of the home; two sons, Michael Edward Altman and wife Mary; Jeffery Thomas Altman and wife, Bonnie; one step-son, Robert Jimmie Byrd and wife, Becky; five grandchildren, Michaela Altman, Robbie Altman, David Altman, Autumn Byrd and Maranda Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina, 4000 Blue Ridge Road, #170, Raleigh, NC 27612
