CLINTON Mrs. Alma Honeycutt Naylor, 93, of Clinton, passed away Monday, July 02, 2007 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at the Harnett Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Sampson County, Mrs. Naylor was born May 6, 1914 to the late Rufus and Laudie Honeycutt. She was a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church . She was the pianoist for numerous years. She organized a Senior group called "The Herring Jewels" a the Herring Volunteer Fire Department. Mrs. Naylor was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Laudie Honeycutt; husband, Norman Naylor; three sisters, Lilma Fann, Ethel Perry, and Carrie Boyette Smith; four brothers, Parker Honeycutt, Oscar Honeycutt, Homer Honeycutt and Alan Honeycutt. She is survived by her daughter Rosita West, of Clinton; son, Norman Wayne Naylor and wife Norma of Clinton; a granddaughter, Pinda Byrd and husband Patrick of Turkey; grandson, Shannon Naylor and wife Lisa of Clinton; great-grandson, Thomas Byrd; great-granddaughters, McKenzie and Edye Naylor; three sisters, Edna McKoy of Wilmington, Margaret Underwood and Mary Pope, both of Clinton; a live-in sister-in-law, Almeta Bass and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at all other times at her home at 2100 Rabbit Street, Clinton, NC. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, 2626 Odum Road, Clinton, NC 28328.
