Mr. Allen Brent Bedsole, 67 passed away Thursday, April 19, 2017 at Duke University Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his father, Seavy Bedsole; granny, Esther Bullard; and grandfather, Jack Bullard.

He worked for Century Link telephone company for over 44 years.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bedsole of the home; children, Michael Bedsole & wife, Aleshia of Goose Creek, SC and Michelle Reed & husband, Shannon of Durham; mother, Mary Elizabeth Bedsole of Roseboro; sister, Sandy Norris & husband, Wootie of Garland; brothers, Jimmy Bedsole & wife, Rhonda of Holden Beach and Earl Bedsole & wife, Ann of Cedar Creek and three grandchildren, Ella Grace Reed, Berkeley Reed, and Hunter Bedsole.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Ernie King and Rev. David Bays. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00pm to 4:00pm before the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in memory of Allen to American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979; American Cancer Society, 11 S. Boylan Ave., Raleigh, NC 27601; or to the Duke Cancer Institute Fund, 710 W. Main St., Suite 200, Durham, NC 27701.
