Alice Esterlean (Tart) Royal, 96 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2024 at Center Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Pat Trobaugh, Rev. John Blackman and Rev. Clinton Reed.  Burial will follow at Royal Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Eldridge Leon Tart and Alice Jane Page Tart; husband, William Andrew Royal, Jr.; siblings, Robert Tart, Doris Eason, Merle McDonald and Mildred Darden; daughter-in-law, Dawn Royal; and son-in-law, Tommy Tart.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, William Durwood Royal of Pamlin, VA, Ron Lynn Royal (Julie), Wanda Gayle Royal, Charles Royal (Sue) and Audrey Tart all of Wade; grandchildren, Tiffany Powell (Randy), Andre Royal (Jennifer), Angela Harrington (Ed Quinn), Rochelle Clement, Nicole Caldwell (Justin), Brooke Hair (Bradley), Jeremy Tart, Jordan Tart Mills (Robert), and Kaitlyn Tart (Alex); great grandchildren, Hannah Royal, Grace Royal, Roman Davis (Nerlene), Justin Davis (Alishia), Morgan Harrington, Dakota Clement, Grayson Caldwell, Peyton Hair, Baylor Caldwell, Rowan Caldwell, Weston Caldwell, Bryson Hair, Isabella Tart, Adeline Tart, and Nikolai Mills; and 3 great great grandchildren, Avalent Davis, Azuran Davis, and Atreya Davis.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alice’s memory to Center Baptist Church Building Fund, 4210 Center Church Road, Wade, NC  28395.
