Mrs. Alice O'Retha Hall Faircloth, 79 of 13131 Peters Creek Church Road, Roseboro, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at her home.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Dr. David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Faircloth was born on August 7, 1935 in New Hanover County to the late Leslie Grover and Lurlean Strickland Hall.

She was a loving wife and soulmate for 65 years, a doating mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong devoted member of Peters Creek Baptist Church and served as prayer chairman for many, many years. Above all, she loved her Lord, served her community and church, and was a mentor to so many because of her loving spirit and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

Besides cooking and feeding everyone, she enjoyed riding around the farm on her golf cart, planting and cutting flowers, playing with and feeding the animals, but her favorite household chore was washing clothes. She was the heart of her family.

She is survived by her husband, William Earl Faircloth of the home; daughter, Sue Hobbs and husband Jerry of Roseboro; son, Johnny Dean Faircloth and wife Teresa of Roseboro; three grandsons, Kevin Hobbs, Shane Hobbs and wife Kim, Shawn Hobbs; great grandchild, Jeremy Hobbs; step great grandchildren, Heather Hardin, Danny Gregory; great-great grandchildren, Mikenzie, Maycie, Judah; sister, Betty Hall of Roseboro; and brother, Bernice Hall and wife Chrystal of Roseboro.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
