Mr. Alford Lee Brewington,, 67 Sr.

Mr. Alford Lee Brewington, Sr., 67 of 2119 Halltown Road, Autryville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at his home.

He was born on September 26, 1949 in Sampson County and is preceded in death by his father, James Hardy Brewington; and brother, Hardy Linwood Brewington. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, and worked as a grocery store meat cutter.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Fisher Brewington of the home; sons, Alford Lee Brewington, Jr. and wife Allison of Charleston, S.C., Jason Brewington of Autryville; mother, Ethel B. Brewington of Clinton; sisters, Sue Brewington Faircloth and husband Chris, Loria Brewington Whaley and husband Billy, all of Clinton; grandchildren, Kacie, Alan, Victoria, Catherine, Ryan, Brianna, Caleb, Mckenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, December 4, at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Reverend Eddie Smith and Reverend Jeff Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:45 pm prior to the service.
