Alex Reese Brown, 85 went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Alex’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Praise Fellowship Church of God, officiating will be Pastor Kevin Edwards.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Lafayette Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Alex is preceded in death by his parents, John Alexander Brown and Sina Autry Brown; brothers, Edgar Collier and Billy Brown;  his sister, Olive Cooper; father and mother-law, Mr. & Mrs. K C Naidoo; and brothers-in-law, Gopual, Billy and Selva Naidoo.

Alex retired as a production manager with Fasco Industries in Fayetteville, and he was a United States Navy Veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jean Brown of the home; daughter, Autumn Spencer & husband, Gregory of Midland, TX; son, Michael Brown of Stedman; sister, Ann Rogers of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Alexis Pool & husband, Michael, Stephen Garrett Spencer, Michaela Spencer, and Morgan Brown; great grandchildren, Sophia and Revan Pool; and his sisters-in-law, Saro Naidoo, Patty Wilkins, and Perendeva Naidoo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex’s memory to Praise Fellowship Church of God, 514 Adams Street, Fayetteville, NC  28301.
