Mr. Alan McLean Thurston, 59 of 4766 Cedar Creek Road, died on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Peverett officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors.
Mr. Thurston was born on March 6, 1951 in Mineola, New York, to the late Albert and Magalene Ivey Thurston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a Truck Driver.
Mr. Thurston is survived by: his wife, Elizabeth Thurston; one daughter, Phadra Thurston; two sisters, Barbara Thurston and Janice Curcuru; and two brothers, Paul Thurston and Ronald Thurston.
