AUTRYVILLE Mr. Alan Kirby Greene, 58 of 199 Pine Loop Lane, died on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at his home. The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mr. Greene was born on January 9, 1953 in Newport News, Virginia, to David and Maggie Green Greene. He is preceded in death by his father, David Greene. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a Mechanic with Valley Protein. He is survived by: his wife, Barbara Greene of the home; two sons, Jeremy Greene and Daniel Wiltshire both of Fayetteville; two daughters, Carrie Greene of Autryville and Kimberly Greene of Charlotte; his mother, Maggie Cole of Goochland, VA; one brother, Stanley Bernard Greene of Highland Springs, VA; one sister, Phyllis Greene of Goochland, VA; and 11 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home of his son, Jeremy, 2621 Phoenician Drive, Fayetteville.
