Mrs. Ada Cashwell Hairr, 77 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 09, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Sandy Horne Cemetery in Autryville, officiating will be Pastor Walt Latham.

Ada was born in Sampson County to the late Horace Trenton Cashwell and Doris Mae Hall Cashwell. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her brother, Horace Cashwell, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Linda Cashwell; father and mother-in-law, Ferman and Clister Hairr; and brother-in-law, Eddie Hairr.

Ada worked for over 20 years as a Traffic Control Officer with Cumberland County.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, Ferman Minson Hairr, Jr. of the home; children, Jerry Hairr of Summerville, SC, Paula O’quinn of Broadway, David Hairr (Kim) of Charleston, SC and Angela Cramer of Virginia; grandchildren, Frankie Nunnery, Leana Nunnery, Nicholas Foster and Devan Williams; great grandchildren, Kara Nunnery, Declan Williams and Meadow Williams; sister, Katherine Cashwell Naylor of Stedman; brothers, Quinton Cashwell of Stedman, and Hughie Cashwell of Fayetteville; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby R. Hairr (Charlotte) of Eastover; sister-in-law, Iris Hairr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
