Robert Foster West, 79 passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Carolina Rehab of Cumberland.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman.  Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Robert was born in Sampson County to the late Foster Paris West and Carrie Mae Tyndall West.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Alton West.

Robert loved fishing, all kinds of cars, and going to the beach and the lake.  He loved his family, and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Lynn Ward (James) of Grays Creek; son Keith West (Maria) of Fayetteville; sister, Virginia Mae Hales (Clarence) of Bladenboro; grandchildren, Brandon West (Mary), Kelly West (Jeremy), Kaitlyn West (Aiden), Sean Ward (Mitizi), and Stephanie Harris (Ricky); 10 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law’s, Bonnie and Lucy West both of Bladenboro.
