Mr. Preston Glenn Stewart, 40 of Roseboro went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Southwood Nursing Center surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Carr’s Chapel Freewill Holiness Church with Rev. Billy Bass and Rev. Dr. Teresa Ammons officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 11:50 AM Saturday at the church prior to the service. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Ervin and Ann Tyndall, 3581 Lamb Road, Garland, NC.

Preston was a native of Sampson County, the son of Albert Glenn and Carolyn Ann Avery Stewart.  He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Allen Dwight Stewart; Paternal Grandparents, Lloyd and Ilene Stewart and Maternal Grandparents, Clifton and Beulah Avery.

He is survived by his loving mother, Carolyn Avery Stewart and companion, Harold Cain; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a caregiver, Margaret Hairr.
