Mrs. Phyllis Howard Daniels, 78 of the Clement community, passed away peacefully September 23, 2024 at Duke University Hospital surrounded by her family.

Family will receive friends at Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro from 7-9 pm on Thursday, September 26, and the funeral will be held on Friday, September 27 at Union Grove Baptist Church 395 Vander Road, Salemburg, NC at 2:00pm.

Phyllis was born February 5, 1946 in Sampson County to the late Carson and Elma Howard. She resided at 1220 Howard Road Autryville, NC with the love of her life, Charles for over 59 years.  Phyllis worked many years and retired from Binswanger Glass Company as Glazing Superintendent in 2001.  Her family was her prize possession and focus.  She was a wonderful mother to her children including a special son that came along at just the right time to make the family complete. She did her greatest work as Secretary of the family farm and the best “Granny” ever to her five grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Daniels of the home; son Todd Daniels and wife Jenny, daughter Wendy Hair and husband, Jerry; special son Ed Edge and wife Brandi; seven grandchildren Brett Feight and husband Kyle, Karsyn Horner and husband Dustin, Trent Hair and fiancé Kayla Matthews, Case Daniels and fiancé Morgan Wilkes,  and Nicholas Hair, Daelyn and Mason Edge;  and two great grandchildren Rhys and Fallon Feight; only sister Cathy Howard,  all of Autryville; sisters -in-law, Elgree Faircloth, Edna Honeycutt, and brother-in-law James Earl Daniels and wife Helen.  She was blessed with many wonderful nieces and nephews.
