Elizabeth Naylor Rhodes, 93 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Falcon.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, January 8, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Greg Green. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born in Sampson County to the late Ashley and Sarah Naylor. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Carrie Lee Lee, Betsy Tew, Sellie Parsons, Inez Hawley, Iceleane Crumpler, and Myra Gray Warren; and her brothers, Berlie Naylor, Delmus Naylor, Theodore Naylor, R.A. Naylor, Kermit Naylor, and Ralph Naylor.
Elizabeth grew up in the Harnett Primitive Baptist Church in Sampson County, and was previously a long-time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sharon G. Moran & partner, Thomas McCaffery of Fayetteville, Angie G. Holbrook & partner, Sherrill Bass of Dunn, and Wanda G. Neifer & husband, Rodney of Lumber Bridge; grandchildren, Kimberly Yow & husband, Jimmy, Amy Moran & husband, Quinton, Christopher Moran, and Sarah Mark & husband, Jensen; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Townsend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's honor to the Cumberland County Council on Older Adults; Att: Lisa Hughes, 339 Devers Street, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
