ROSEBORO, NC
Ret. Chief Petty Officer, Percy Gene Hall, 81 of Roseboro, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, February 1, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4693 Beaver Dam Church Road, Roseboro, with Reverend Andy Wood officiating. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will follow in the Church Cemetery.
He was born November 30, 1937 in Sampson County to Von Cline and Lula Christine Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Maxine Bullard Hall; and a sister, Annie Delores McRorie. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member and past Master of Roseboro Masonic Lodge #585 and was a member and past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by his daughters, Gretta Steffens of Roseboro, and Christeen Johnson (husband, Bobby) of Elizabethtown, KY; grandchildren, Charles J. Lott, Emily G. Steffens, and Erin D. Steffens; brothers, Ray Hall of Roseboro, Roy Hall of Stedman, and June Hall of Stedman; and sisters, Christeen Worley of Tabor City, Sandra Cashwell of Raleigh, and Donna Marie Faircloth of Roseboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday evening at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, and other times at his home.
