Mildred Louise (Sandy) Hobbs Jackson

Mrs. Mildred Louise Sandy Hobbs Jackson, 96 of Shalotte and formerly of Roseboro, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 3 at Roseboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Hampton Faircloth, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Manley Moore and Ethel Broome Sandy.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Roger Jackson and a daughter, Fran Geddie.  She was a retired Lab Technician at Rohm-Haas and was a member of Roseboro First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Averett; two sons, Lloyd Hobbs and Jimmy Hobbs; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angel House Hospice Care Center, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
