James Dwight Fann

Mr. James Dwight Fann, 71 passed away Monday, October 22, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Piney Green Baptist Church, 6040 High House Road, Salemburg, officiating will be Pastor Donald Keith Carter.  Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Sampson County to the late James Almon Fann & Mary Lee Fann.  He is also preceded in death by brothers, Carney and Ray Fann & sister, Janice Butler.

He was a Vietnam War Veteran while serving  in the United States Army.  He also received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Piedmont College.

He loved people, had a lot of friends and would do anything for anybody, even giving you the shirt off of his back if you needed it.  He would often do things for people without them even asking him to, that was just the kind of friend that he was.

He is survived by his companion and good friend, Judy Nash; children, Michael Fann & wife, Sarah and Michelle Bodnar & husband, Gregg; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Judy Cellner, Lilly Tew and Marty Connor; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 2:50pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.
