Mr. James Edward Chapman, 72 formerly of Hope Mills, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Ogden Bullard.  Burial will follow at Hall Cemetery on Macedonia Church Road in Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 12:50pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Chapman and Stella Mae Sanders Chapman; brothers, Henry Worth Chapman, Johnnie M. Chapman, Steve and Joe Chapman; and a sister, Mary Lona Horne.

James was a truck driver for many years and he was in building construction.

He is survived by his daughter, Neecey Olsen & husband, Daryl; brothers, J.C. Sanders and Robert Chapman; and sisters, Florence Cheek and Mary Bullard.
