Allen Clyde Pridgen

FAYETTEVILLE, NC

Mr. Allen Clyde Pridgen, 81 of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 19, at Harmony Independent Presbyterian Church, 7640 Wildcat Road, Harrells with Reverend David Chestnut, Reverend Jim Owen, and Reverend Tom Corney officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

He was born January 21, 1937 in Bladen County and was the son of Fred Charles and Juanita Melvin Pridgen. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Christine Bullard. He worked as a salesperson in the furniture and appliance industry.

He is survived by two daughters, Sonja R. Pridgen of Sarasota, FL and Kim P. Rogers of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, D. Christopher Chandler, and Jamie Lynn Stewart (husband, Drew); one great grandchild, Ethan Stewart; one sister, Doris Pridgen of Ivanhoe; one brother, Billy Pridgen of Harrells; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 11:50am Saturday prior to the funeral service.
